| STUFF MAGAZINE STARTS OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH RATE BASE INCREASE TO 1.3 MILLION |

NEW YORK, NY (January 14, 2004) -Stuff magazine, the #2 men's general interest magazine in America behind Maxim, is ringing in the new year by raising its rate base 100,000 to 1.3 million effective with the January 2004 issue, according to general manager Mark MacDonald.
With the rate base increase, Stuff continues to be the leading product-based pop culture magazine for men. Since going monthly in August 2000, Stuff has been a circulation powerhouse, jumping from a rate base of 250,000 to 1.3 million in just over three years. Stuff has raised its rate base for four consecutive straight years since 2000.
This past November, Stuff produced its first newsstand special, Stuff Gamer, directed at the vast fast-growing videogame audience in time for the holiday shopping season. Stuff Gamer covered the latest and greatest games and accessories, accented with the magazine's sense of humor.
On the advertising front, Stuff has been embraced by the leading young male marketers including Ford, Mazda, Jeep, BMW, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Fila, Nike, Reebok, JC Penney, Unilever, L'Oreal, Christian Dior Perfumes, Coty Lancaster, Harley Davidson, HBO, MasterCard, Gillette, and US Army. In 2003, Stuff was the exclusive book in its category for A|X Armani Exchange, Sony Electronics and Kawasaki.
MacDonald shared his enthusiasm for the magazine's success: "Stuff continues to the a must read for over 5 million guys each month who look to the magazine for their product, entertainment and pop-culture news and information. The February 2004 issue of Stuff features actress Tara Reid on the cover along with the hottest gadgets, fashion, entertainment and pop culture news this month.
