ROB GREGORY NAMED GROUP PUBLISHER OF MAXIM MAGAZINE
New York, NY (January 7, 2004) - Rob Gregory has been named group publisher of Maxim magazine, the largest men's general interest magazine in the US, it was announced today by Dennis Publishing president and CEO Stephen Colvin.

Gregory has been publisher of Wenner Media's Rolling Stone magazine since March 2001, where he led the entire competitive set of magazines in ad pages and market share, published the largest fashion issue since 1995, and drove up the magazine's ad pages for the first time in four years. Earlier at Wenner Media, Gregory was the publisher of Men's Journal, where he oversaw the 2001 "Style & Design Issue," the largest in the magazine's history.

Prior to Wenner Media, Gregory was the launch publisher of American Express Publishing's Travel + Leisure Golf, when the magazine was named to Adweek's "Hot List" in 1999.

Maxim is the largest men's lifestyle magazine in the nation, with a circulation of over 2.5 million per month. It is also the largest men's lifestyle magazine in the world, with 21 international editions launched in 33 countries. Maxim has a growing international readership of over 17 million.

Last month, Maxim magazine was named as one of the 10 Most Influential International Media Brands by the British advertising publication Campaign.

"The Maxim brand has become a massive cultural force, yet is still in its infancy," says Gregory. "The opportunity to take it to the next level is irresistible."

"Rob is an experienced, dynamic and creative executive who will be a great addition to the Dennis executive team," says Colvin. "As the centerpiece media outlet for young men age 21 - 34, Maxim will profit from Rob's flair for getting the job well done."

Rob Gregory is 45 years old and lives in Old Greenwich, CT.
