| BARRY PINCUS NAMED MANAGER OF BRAND DEVELOPMENT AT DENNIS PUBLISHING, INC. |

New York, NY (January 10, 2002) Dennis Publishing, Inc. has named Barry Pincus as the new manager of brand development, according to president Stephen Colvin. Pincus will oversee all brand management for the entire group of Dennis titles, which include Maxim, Maxim Fashion, Stuff, Blender, and The Week, where he will be expanding the brands through licensing and other media platforms.
Pincus joins Dennis Publishing from Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where he consulted on various projects for the television, Internet and direct commerce divisions. With over 25 years of managerial, operational and financial expertise, Pincus has also served as chief financial officer for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, New York Yankee Partnership, and Sunshine Media Corporation and chief fiscal officer for American Red Cross in Greater New York.
"I am looking forward to taking these already strong brands and developing the Dennis Publishing properties into a well established presence in other media and merchandising channels. Our goal is to provide product and content which will further allow our audience to live and experience the lifestyle so effectively disseminated by Dennis's various publications, " said Pincus.
A Certified Public Accountant, Pincus holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Syracuse University.
