MAXIM'S HOT 100 CELEBRATES 6 YEARS WITH BLUE CHIP EVENT SPONSORS, A TV SPECIAL ON VH1 AND NBC-TV "LAS VEGAS" TIE-IN
New York, NY (May 9, 2005) - Maxim's Hot 100 enters its sixth year bigger and better than ever, with a cache of prime sponsors for the May 12th annual event, a new VH1 television special, and a tie-in appearing on NBC-TV's hit "Las Vegas" program.

Maxim's Hot 100 - always featured in the June issue -- is the definitive list of the 100 up-and-coming women in film, television, music, sports, and fashion who will dominate our cultural landscape for the next 12 months. The NY Times Magazine has said the Hot 100 was one of Hollywood's prime casting guides.

The Los Angeles-located Hot 100 event is being backed by five high-profile sponsors: Pontiac is using the property to continue the brand's "fusion marketing" efforts by executing an integrated program featuring their new two seat roadster, the Pontiac Solstice; Captain Morgan will be promoting Tattoo, their new high-end rum brand; Garnier Fructis will promote their exciting shampoo and styling product line as well as host a the Garnier Fructis Beauty Lounge with Fred Segal Salon for pre-party glam; Tag Heuer and Diet Sprite Zero have also signed on as event sponsors.

Ten days later on Sunday, May 22nd, VH1 will be airing a "Maxim Hot 100" special hosted by the network's own "All Access" star Rachel Perry, who has made Maxim's list multiple times in the past. The fast-paced one-hour program will feature interviews with the lucky winners as well as looks at their accomplishments since last year.

To kick off the "Hot 100" mania, the May 9th episode of the hit NBC-TV show "Las Vegas" will follow Hot 100 winning singer Ashanti with the Hot 100 competition itself as a backdrop at the Montecito Hotel.
