MAXIM MAGAZINE TO BUILD MAXIM HOTEL & CASINO IN LAS VEGAS
New York, NY (June 5, 2006) - Maxim magazine, the best-selling men's lifestyle magazine in the nation and the world, has partnered with real estate developer Concord Wilshire Partners, LLC to build the luxury Maxim Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas strip, it was announced today by Dennis Publishing president and CEO Stephen Colvin.

Los Angeles and Las Vegas-based Concord Wilshire is one of the premier national real estate developers, with over $7 billion currently in development in various locales throughout the United States, including in California, Nevada, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, and Washington, DC. The announcement is the culmination of almost two years of research and discussions led by Dennis Publishing US' Stephen Colvin.

Maxim will be actively involved in all aspects of the development of the hotel and casino, from choosing the architects and deciding the overall look and feel of the property to deciding how big the pools should be and which retail partners to include.

The Hotel & Casino is expected to open in 2010, with groundbreaking set for late 2007. To be built on a prime nine-acre location on the Las Vegas strip, the venue will have 2,300 rooms, many of which will be condominium-hotel units.

There will be a 60,000-square foot casino, a Maxim Lounge run by Rande Gerber, Blender magazine-branded indoor and outdoor concert spaces, a luxury spa, upscale retail stores, various swimming pools, restaurants, and ample conference and event space.

The Maxim Hotel & Casino will serve as a showcase for advertiser and sponsor events, and be fully ready for television and radio production.

"We have received numerous offers to take the Maxim brand to Las Vegas," explained Colvin. "Concord Wilshire showed us that they have the location, resources, vision and business know-how to ensure that together we build a first class property that reflects the core values of the Maxim brand"

"It makes perfect sense for us to join forces with the world's largest men's brand in creating a venue in Las Vegas, which like Maxim, taps a worldwide audience," said Steve Sirang, CEO of Concorde Wilshire.
