PETER JAYSEN TO HEAD DENNIS PUBLISHING'S NEW TV/DVD/FILM DIVISION - MOVING PICTURES, DPI
Gigantic Built-In Content and Fan Base From Four Wildly Successful Brands Targeted to 21-34 Men

New York, NY/Los Angeles, CA (June 23, 2004) - Peter Jaysen has been hired to head Dennis Publishing's new television, DVD and film division called Moving Pictures, DPI, it was announced today by Dennis Publishing president and CEO Stephen Colvin.

Jaysen will oversee media and broadcast projects, relationships and deals based on the Dennis Publishing's widely-recognized and distributed award-winning magazines: Maxim, the biggest men's lifestyle magazine in the country and world; Stuff, the definitive product-driven pop culture magazine for men; Blender, the hottest music magazine in the country; and The Week, the prestigious distillation of weekly international news and culture. The goal is to eventually build the division into an independent production entity.

Jaysen will be based in Dennis Publishing's Los Angeles offices.

Moving Pictures, DPI comes to the table holding four ace cards: Dennis Publishing's archive of prime material covering several years... a continuous pipeline of new compelling material... a colossal audience of highly sought-after 21-34 men (i.e. Maxim reaches over 12 million readers a month alone)... and wonderful synergistic possibilities throughout Dennis' properties, including their exclusive first look deal with New Line Cinema and the forthcoming Maxim Radio channel on Sirius Satellite Radio.

In terms of brand name impact, Maxim was named as one of the 10 Most Influential International Media Brands by the advertising publication Campaign.

Jaysen comes to Dennis with 15 years of diverse development and production experience in television, film, and home specialty entertainment. For the past five years, Jaysen had been a partner and president of development & production at Creative Light Entertainment in Beverly Hills, CA, where he was involved with such projects as Jekyll (producer), Comic Book: The Movie (executive producer), Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters & Marvels (executive producer), Hail Sid Caesar! The Golden Age of Comedy (executive producer/writer/director), Mindmeld with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy (executive producer/director) and Body of Work (producer/director). Jaysen was an Emmy-nominated producer for a number of years at such highly-touted newsmagazines such as "Dateline NBC," "Entertainment Tonight," and "Extra".
