| HERE IS THE FACT: STUFF MAGAZINE IS THE FASTEST GROWING MENS LIFESTYLE MAGAZINE |
 |
New York NY (July 24, 2002)Stuff magazine is the fastest-growing mens lifestyle magazine in the United States, according to the most recently published full year Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) figures. Any claims to the contrary are just not true.
According to the most recent full year statements from ABC, Stuff magazines total circulation grew 13%. Stuffs subscriptions jumped 20% from 501,677 to 602,067 in this audited report comparison, while newsstand rose 5% in the same period from 474,707 to 501,678.
Additionally, according to these same ABC figures, Stuffs guaranteed rate base rose 17.6%, more than any other mens lifestyle magazine in the most recent full year period.
No other mens lifestyle magazine came even close to a total circulation increase of 13% or rate base jump of 17.6%, a true measure of just exactly what it takes to be the fastest growing magazine in the category.
On the advertising side, Stuff continues to snowball with the momentum of being the #2 book in the category, just behind fellow Dennis magazine Maxim: ad pages are up 23% in the first half of 2002 according to general manager Mark MacDonald. As a matter of fact, MacDonald explains, the trend is expected to increase even more in the second half of the year, with the September 2002 issue being the magazines biggest advertising issue in the publications history.
New September advertisers include Aqua di Gio, Adidas, Chrysler, Diesel Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, Jillians, Nvidea, Union Bay, Trojans, Buena Vista Pictures and Levis.
Marketers have not stopped advertising, says MacDonald. Instead, in tough times, they advertise in need to have books and cut back and/or drop nice to have books. Stuff is the industry leader as advertisers see us as a need to have publication in reaching and influencing the purchasing habits of young men.
