| STUFF MAGAZINE RANKS #6 ON ADVERTISING AGE'S ANNUAL MAGAZINE A-LIST |
 |
New York, NY (October 21, 2002)-- Stuff magazine has been ranked #6 on the widely-respected trade publication Advertising Age's annual A-List of the top ten magazines of 2002. With a circulation of 1.1 million, Stuff is the #2 men's general interest magazine in America behind Maxim.
Stuff is distinctive for sporting a dark, extremely sharp sense of humor not centered on body jokesmaking it actually funny, unlike its competition, to non-frat boys, states Advertising Age in its October 21, 2002 special report.
Stuff was acknowledged on this year's list for its excellence in ad pages, circulation and editorial content. The magazine enjoyed a 15.4% increase in ad pages (Publishers Information Bureau, January-September 2002), a 19.9% increase in total circulation and a 34.7% increase in subscriptions (Audit Bureau of Circulations, six-month period ended June 30, 2002).
We're extremely proud of Advertising Age's recognition of Stuff's success with readers and advertisers alike by naming us to their A-List of top ten magazines in 2002, says general manager Mark MacDonald. Stuff continues to make its own unique mark on the men's general interest category.
Ad Age has recognized that in a market crowded with predictable wannabes, Stuff stands apart, says editor-in-chief Greg Gutfeld. I always knew Stuff was the sixth-hottest magazine on the newsstand. This clinches it.
Other magazines on this year's top ten list include Time Inc.'s Real Simple, Conde Nast's Lucky, Wenner Media's US Weekly and Gruner & Jahr's Fitness.
